Blossom Falls

£8.99

A collection of poetry. Published by Lis McDermott 2020

Blossom Falls is Lis’ second collection of poems. She continues with similar themes to her first collection.
In the section called Life, she outlines her thoughts on being child-free, an only child, and about her dad who she lost when she was nineteen.
The section Skin talks about the unfathomable issue of prejudice in our society.
Mixed Bag is a range of mostly funny poems, written in response to social media celebratory days. Continuing her use of the Haiku style, in this collection Lis also writes about road signs.
Lis includes commentary on Nature and Brexit. To end the collection, she includes a group of poems called Fripperies – a mixture of subject ideas from throughout her life.
